Screenings & Programming FAQs

The program includes narrative films, documentaries, music videos, and animation by Okanagan filmmakers.

Yes! Screenings are open to the public with a valid ticket.

Be aware that some films are not suitable for children, and may upset some adults.  They may contain graphic violence, strong language, and lewd behaviour.

Films are programmed into curated screening blocks. Each block features multiple films and runs continuously.

Short breaks may occur between screening blocks, but not between individual films.

Out of respect for filmmakers and audiences, we encourage attendees to enter and exit between films whenever possible.

Yes. The theatre concession at Landmark Cinemas Xtreme will be open during screenings, with food and drinks available for purchase.  Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show!

Red Carpet Gala & Awards Show FAQs

The Red Carpet Gala is a pre-awards show celebration where filmmakers, artists, and festival-goers come together to connect, network, and enjoy a glamorous evening. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best red-carpet attire and enjoy photo opportunities, drinks, food, and a lively social atmosphere.

Following the Gala, the Awards Show takes center stage, celebrating outstanding Okanagan filmmakers as we present the coveted Golden Apple Awards to this year’s winners.

Red carpet attire is encouraged!  Dress up, have fun, and make it a night to remember.  The vast majority of attendees will be dressed to impress.

The doors to the Red Carpet Gala open at 5:30pm.  The Award Show presentation is expected to start around 8pm.  This event will be held at Metro Hub - 1265 Ellis Street, Kelowna.

Miscellaneous FAQ

Both venues are accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance.

There is plenty of parking at the Landmark Cinemas Xtreme in West Kelowna...

Metro Hub is another story.  You will need to find street parking, which could be busy on a Saturday evening.  If you plan to drink, please use a ride share instead of driving.
